As the Operational Loss Protection Manager, you will lead an analytical, multidisciplinary team dedicated to mitigating risks, optimizing our partner ecosystem, and safeguarding our operations. In this role, your work directly impacts our bottom line and our market reputation—which is built on tangible guarantees of operational excellence and data security.
Operational loss encompasses a wide range of challenges, including partner bad conduct, platform quality problems, data leakage, structural inefficiencies, and occasionally gaps in user education. You will be responsible for orchestrating the strategy to combat these issues and leveraging rigorous investigations to prevent future losses.
When operational losses intersect with malicious fraud, you will partner closely with our specialized, dedicated Fraud team to ensure a cohesive response. This position requires a versatile leader with exceptional analytical "hardware," adaptability, and cross-functional orchestration skills.
You will seamlessly connect Operations, Legal, Product & Tech, and Fraud teams to build a secure, scalable user ecosystem.
Responsibilities Detection and Monitoring: Proactively identify and monitor operational anomalies—spanning financial loss, data leakage, partner misconduct, and quality issues—by building, implementing, and refining automated monitoring rules and data-driven alerts from the ground up. Investigation and Consequence Management: Manage official reporting channels and compliance programs.
Ensure cases undergo qualified screening and investigation, and enforce appropriate consequence management (ranging from operational blocks and revenue recovery to targeted partner education). Policies Definition and Process Improvement: Continuously evolve the structural foundations of our quality and data protection programs.
You will influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape policies related to our partners' programs and incentives, unifying guidelines across the company to transition our operations from reactive problem-solving to proactive, scalable governance.
Requirements Balanced Strategic Leadership: Proven ability to set a clear vision for a centralized operational team, balancing analytical guidance with team development and a high-performance culture. Analytical Proficiency: Solid experience utilizing data methodologies to map, quantify, and prioritize complex business challenges without getting lost in the weeds.
Adaptable Problem-Solving: A strong track record of tackling complex problems in fast-paced, large-scale, or highly complex operational environments. You possess the raw analytical skills to learn quickly and connect operational improvements to business outcomes like LTV and cost efficiency.
Exceptional Stakeholder Management: Experience collaborating effectively across diverse, cross-functional teams (such as Legal, Tech, Operations, and specialized squads like Fraud) to streamline decision-making and implement scalable rules; Impactful Internal Communication: The ability to communicate complex operational requirements or strategic initiatives clearly to internal leadership, peers, and cross-functional partners to drive company-wide alignment and action.
