Build Team Intern (Fall 2026)
Formlabs is seeking a hands-on Build Team Intern to assist in prototyping, building, and testing systems for next-generation 3D printers. This onsite role in Somerville, MA offers a chance to work with cutting-edge hardware and includes perks like flexible time off, catered lunches, and unlimited 3D prints.
Responsibilities
- Assist in building and modifying prototypes of next generation 3D printers and accessory equipment
- Fabricate and/or machine simple mechanical parts
- Inspect parts via CMM, calipers, micrometers, multimeters
- Set up and perform engineering tests
- Create and present various reports, ensuring organized documentation

Compensation Interns at Formlabs are paid on a bi-weekly pay schedule. The pay range for this role will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location and expected impact on the organization. This is a salaried role, so you will always be paid based on the assumed 40 hours per week as a full-time intern. This position does not offer housing or relocation assistance. The weekly pay range for this role is: $1,250 — $1,625 USD
