Senior Data Engineer, Analytics
Discord is seeking a Senior Data Engineer, Analytics to own the transformation and semantic layer that turns data into clean, tested, well-documented tables and dashboards. You'll define metrics and empower teams with reliable data, with a base salary range of $196,000 to $220,500 plus equity and benefits.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain curated analytical datasets and data models
- Own metric definitions end to end, from partnering with data science and product team to implementing in production
- Build and maintain executive-level dashboards and self-serve reporting tools
- Partner closely with data science, product manager, and engineering teams to translate business questions into data assets
- Establish and enforce data quality standards through testing frameworks, documentation, and monitoring

You will be owning the transformation and semantic layer that turns data into clean, tested, well-documented tables and dashboards that data scientists, product managers, and business stakeholders can trust and self-serve from. You'll define and operationalize the metrics that inform how we identify opportunities, measure success, and make decisions.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $196,000 to $220,500 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level.
Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
