About the role In the role of Senior Producer, Anime Co-Production, you will report to the Vice President of Anime Co-Production.
We are considering applicants for the location of Tokyo, Japan The main goal of your role will be to co-develop and produce content together with production partners that attract potential new Anime fans in the global market, keep them interested with exciting storylines and beautiful animation, and introduce new genres to the world that they've never seen in the animated world.
You will pay close attention to trends in each territory to select content that earns as much viewership as possible, contributes to acquiring new subscribers to the platform, and generates additional profit. You will support the Head of Production Team A regarding Production strategy building and team management.
You must understand the content production business and a vast network in the industry, enabling you to develop and produce content not only on your own but also in collaboration with the other members of the team. As a manager, you will coach the relatively junior producers and associate producers on the team, providing constructive feedback as a mentor.

12+ years of work experience in Anime industry 3+ years of people management experience Expertise in rights business in general Experience in anime production and marketing Understanding of the anime trends in Japan and interests in anime trends outside of Japan Native or Business Level skills in Japanese and conversational level in English; willingness to learn to develop English skill Experience working in a globally matrixed organization Experience analyzing issues from a global perspective About the Team Crunchyroll is widely recognized for its content acquisition, while also establishing itself as a key distribution and investment partner within Japan's anime industry.
The Production Team is a division of the Content Team, focusing on collaborating with external partners in the production of anime. The team's strategic focus is on strengthening Crunchyroll's title lineup and contributing to the growth of the anime market across all service regions.
